Under Assistance with Social and Community Participation, the NDIS may fund a support worker to support you to:
- Attend personal development courses.
- Join a social group.
- Take an outing or a holiday.
- Go on a holiday camp.
- Visit your local library.
- See a movie or a concert.
- Go to community events, and/or.
- Join a sporting club.
Recreational community activities are developed according to the participants interests and they include a broad range of groups. Some of these groups are, but not limited to:
- Arts & Crafts
- Cooking Groups
- Social Groups
- Music Therapy
- Meditation Groups
Choices & Rights tries to maximise the services offered by providing varied activities to the participants without repetition, this will aid them to benefit in every available group that suits them. Some of activities are, but not limited to:
- Hiking/ Bush walking/ bird watching
- Sunset watching/ picnic
- City walking
- Fishing
- Camping
- Cooking/ BBQ
- Gardening
