Positive behaviour support is a person-centred model of behaviour support that focuses on improving a person’s quality of life to reduce their behaviours of harm. While this model does contain strategies to assist to manage behaviours when they occur, the proactive strategies form the core of the behaviour support interventions to reduce the likelihood of behaviours occurring rather than focusing on management of behaviours.
As a Specialist Behaviour Support Provider, we will be taking referrals for the development of comprehensive behaviour support plans and offering training to Implementing Providers so they can utilise their behaviour support plans to the greatest extent possible. We will also be accepting referrals for Behaviour Support Assessments that can be carried out under the behaviour support line items in the NDIS Support Catalogue.
